This week has gone by like a whirlwind, I'm a graduate!

Earlier this year I decided that I wanted to graduate from our home school "James Madison Senior High" instead of our local school. I made the decision because I have spent the majority of my time and effort in home school.

I decided to host the graduation/party at home so that family and friends could stay before and after the graduation/party. We also wouldn't have to transport everything for the party. It seemed like a fantastic idea. One thing we didn't consider was the heat. We were out that morning in the 90 degree heat and it was miserable, It didn't help that my allergies physically drained me. We did manage to get it all set up by that afternoon.

The entire graduation/party went smooth, it exceeded all expectations and It was a wonderful evening. We started with the ceremony. My mom started welcoming everyone, and then she passed the microphone to me, so I could deliver my valedictorian speech. My grandpa was our guest speaker for the night and if you knew my grandpa he's a big comedian. My Dad spoke afterwards and then my parents presented me to the audience as the class of 2018!

Afterwards, I took pictures in my cap and gown and then everyone had dinner which included: Pulled Pork, Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Pasta Salads, chips, and a variety of yummy desserts. Everything tasted amazing but unfortunately the heat stole peoples appetites.

After I went around and tried to talk and greet everyone, which as an introvert is a miracle. After the party we sat around and gradually cleaned up, we then went inside and read "advice to the graduate" cards and played riddles until midnight.
